Who should be on a care plan, and who should not
If your site brings you calls, bookings or orders, it is worth $99 a month to make sure it keeps doing that. If it is a one-page site you look at twice a year and it has no forms, you probably do not need this, and I will say so.

Questions owners ask about care plans
My hosting company says they do backups. Is that not enough?
Ask them two questions: how far back can you go, and have you ever restored one? Host backups are often on the same server as the site, sometimes only a few days deep, and restoring can mean a support ticket and a wait. I keep 30 days off-site and restore in under an hour.
What counts as an “edit”?
Anything that takes me under an hour and does not change the structure of the site. Text, prices, photos, hours, a new team member, a new service on the list, a small layout tweak. A new page or a new feature is a small separate quote, and I tell you before I start it.
What if my site gets hacked while on the plan?
I clean it, free. That is the point of the plan. In practice it rarely happens on a site that is updated, backed up and behind a firewall, which is why I can afford to say that.
Can you take on a site you did not build?
Yes. I do a health check first, because I do not want to be responsible for a site that is already infected or four PHP versions behind. If it needs a cleanup or a speed fix, you get a quote for that, then the plan starts.
